Nicholas Brain, Principal and CEO of Jumeirah College Dubai on A Level Results Day 2023

Nicholas Brain, Principal and CEO, Jumeriah College, told SchoolsCompared.com:

“We are thrilled to announce the exceptional success of our students in this year’s A Level results.

“Their dedication, resilience, and the unwavering support of our staff have culminated in outstanding results once again.

“We are immensely proud of each student’s achievements, a testament to their hard work and the quality of education provided at Jumeirah College. These results not only reflect academic excellence, but also the development of critical skills and a passion for lifelong learning.

“Congratulations to our students and the entire Jumeirah College community.”

Rob Kesterton, Head of Secondary, Jumeirah College, continued:

“Despite the significant rise in grade boundaries that seem to have impacted the UK’s overall grades, we have maintained our strong A-level performance.

We are hugely proud of our Year 13 cohort, who have shown character, grit, and determination through a global pandemic. They’ve also kept their sense of humour and optimism, demonstrating the strength of character to cope with life’s challenges.

The vast majority have achieved their desired university destinations – and they’ve managed this despite this being their first formal examination season.

This cohort have not benefited from the experience and coping mechanisms that external examination seasons usually provide, because they missed the opportunities of formal GCSE examinations and because AS exams in Year 12 are now so reduced.”

The Voices of Jumeirah College A Level Students

A delighted Krish Mahtani, Sixth Form Student, Jumeirah College, told us:

“I’m happy to say that I’ve met my offer and achieved three A*s and an A.

I’d like to thank my teachers for supporting me throughout my journey – and Jumeirah College for providing me with the environment to grow as a student and a person.

My advice for students next year is to be on top of your applications and revision. No room for procrastination – work hard, plan ahead… and listen to the guidance of your teachers.”

Joseph Friar, Sixth Form Student, Jumeirah College, continued:

“I’ve achieved two A*s and two As, which is good; I’m very happy with this.

“I’ve made it into my desired university – and I’m very excited at the thought of letting my parents know. They are on the edge of their seats!

“It’s been a journey! I’m just happy that it’s done, it’s in the records now. I’m glad the hard work has paid off.

“Thank you to my teachers; they made the difference.

“I’m excited for the future. Onwards and upwards!”
