Al Ain British Academy is celebrating another year of outstanding A-level results. The school has announced a 100% pass rate – of which half were A* or A grades. Students can also sit for the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ). The school’s EPQ results this year saw students achieving a creditable 100% A*, and the students taking the examination included a number from Year 10 who were nominated to study for the qualification early.
Dan McHugh, Secondary Headteacher, Al Ain British Academy (pictured above), told SchoolsCompared:
“I’m just so very proud.
“The results are testament to both the dedication of our students and the immense support and challenge that our teachers provided them.
“What pleases me most is that, while achieving such fantastic A-levels, our students have continued to participate in a wide range of extracurricular activities and sustained a wonderful culture that exists in our Sixth Form. Every time I visit the Sixth Form Centre, I see smiling faces and have such mature conversations with the students.
“Student achievement across every subject, and throughout our ECA and whole child programmes, has been phenomenal.
“We are the only Abu Dhabi school to have been awarded the UK’s Association for Character Education Award and we pride ourselves on an education centred on the school values of Respect, Responsibility and Resilience.
Our Sixth Formers have these by the bucketload.”
Mairead Ralph, Subject Lead Teacher for Geography, Al Ain British Academy, continued:
“Our Geography Department has special cause for celebration this year.
“Our amazing Geography students secured… 100% A*-A grades.
We are very proud to achieve outstanding results again this year in the Geography Department, continuing our streak from last year! Our teachers are devoted to helping our students achieve their very best, and there are such strong relationships between us.”

Celebrating Al Ain British Academy Students
Al Ain British Academy asked us to celebrate all their students. However, one student deserves special praise this year. Adithi Sathiyan graduates with an A* in Psychology and As in History, Geography and French. Miss Sathiyan praised her teachers to SchoolsCompared.com, describing them as “an incredibly supportive community.” Miss Sathiyan now leaves the school for the prestigious King’s College, London, to pursue International Relations:
“I’m just so excited to go to this prestigious university in London and pursue my passion for exploring the relations between states, diplomacy – and solving some of the world’s problems.”
