One in Four A*A and Tier 1 University Wins to Kings College London and Manchester – Raffles International School Students Dubai Win Big on A Level Results Day 2023
0

Raffles International School students have achieved outstanding A-Level result wins on A Level Results Day 2023. Significantly, Raffles International School also saw an across-the-board improvement in A Level grades over last year against a background in which many other schools saw a drop as Exam Boards sought to normalise grade boundaries to the level set pre-Pandemic in 2019. Students from across the school celebrated the exceptional achievement – in a school known for its strong commitment to, and celebration of, community.

More than a quarter of the Class of 2023 (26%) achieved A*-A grades –  and a creditable 13% of the cohort achieved A* grades. Outstanding results in Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics saw over 75% of students achieving  A*, A or B grades. Overall, 69% of the 35-student strong cohort achieved A Level top gradings of A*-C.

The results have seen students take up a spectrum of places at leading universities worldwide, including places at Manchester University, Newcastle University, and Kings College, London in the United Kingdom. A number of students secured valuable scholarships, including for places studying Computer Science at NYU Abu Dhabi and Biochemistry at UAE University – as well as at all the named British universities above.

You can read our review of Raffles International School here – one of the key ways that this school distinguishes itself is in its small classes in British Sixth Form, and its commitment to an exceptionally broad array of subject options decided by the students themselves based on their gifts, potential, aspirations and purpose.
