It is worth stating upfront that we think that there are many things that make Greenfield Community School special in the UAE. We also believe that parents should not be diverted from the many exceptional features of the school by the headline grading of the latest KHDA inspection, although there are issues raised which we will address. For a genuinely inclusive, all-through International Baccalaureate education, that can deliver for children of all abilities, we believe that Greenfield Community School sets a key benchmark for the sector.
What makes Greenfield so impressive can be summarised in the following key [...]

The school provides a slipstream for all of the three Taaleem “The [...]

As of May 2016, Raha International School [RIS] is one of just three schools in Abu Dhabi to have achieved the “Band A. High Performing. Outstanding” school award from the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) under the education inspectorate’s Irtiqaa programme of independent school inspections. Emirates International School – Meadows [EISM], together with Emirates International School – Jumeirah [EISJ], together comprise the Emirates International School [EIS], although to all intents and purposes, notwithstanding their shared ownership by the Al Habtoor Group, they are separate schools with independent leadership. Our review of the Jumeirah campus can be found here and prospective parents will find significant supplementary information here on the shared framework of both schools.
What is striking about both schools, however, is their very broad similarity in both IB performance and Dubai school inspectorate evaluation. The [...]

Taaleem’s Uptown School [UPS] is in the final stage of its phased launch that will see it reach complete all-through International Baccalaureate structured education from FS to Year 12 provision by September 2016.

Prospective parents should note that Emirates International School Jumeirah [EISJ] is, in fact, located in Umm Al Sheif. The school has also been known variously as Emirates International Private School, Emirates International School and Emirates International School Um Suquim which adds to the confusion.
The school, together with Emirates International School Meadows [EISM], together comprise the Emirates International School [EIS], although to all intents and purposes, notwithstanding their shared ownership by the Al Habtoor Group, they are separate schools with independent leadership.
Parents historically have chosen between the two based [...]

GEMS World Academy – Dubai (GWA) is a PreK to Grade 12 International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) accredited school. GWA offers an all-through IB education from the Primary Years Program [PYP], through Middle Years Program [MYP] to the full Diploma Program [DP] for students aged between 3 and 18 years.
As of April 2017, we have been advised that the school will also offer the alternative International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme (IB CP) from the 2017-2018 academic year. This is an extremely welcome development and something that we believe is a critical element of IB post-16 schooling in order that schools can meet the broadest [...]
The first school in the UAE to offer the Geneva based International Baccalaureate (IB), and in full across its Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP), the Dubai International Academy is innovative, well-established and academic. Of its many successes, the achievement in 2013 of one of its students, Xanita Saayman (now at the University of Toronto), of being the first DIA student, and one of only 108 worldwide, to attain the perfect score of 45/45 in the IB Diploma Programme, is particularly notable.
Opening in 2005 with more than 500 students from 55 countries, and an equally diverse faculty of more than 50 members of 18 [...]

“Inclusive schooling is making a commitment to provide each student in the community with the right to belong and assumes that living and learning together benefits everyone.
Inclusion is a value, a belief system, an intentional community commitment and attitude that is taught and modelled by example.
