The bottom Line – Post 16 Education in Dubai is thriving

If there is a single point to take away from this bringing together of the very best of schools teaching our young men and women in Dubai at this formative post-16 phase of education it is that there is both genuine choice and an array of fabulous schools on offer. In sheer breadth and quality, Dubai offers a real chance for every young person to meet his or her potential.

But this is a time when choice is needed – and which should be embraced. It may well be that changing schools for post-16 education is the right choice, however daunting, for many young people. Schools do differ in their array of offerings and the areas in which they excel – the best schools in one area will almost certainly be not as accomplished as another in a different one. From the Arts to the Sciences, Performing Arts to Sport and specialised technical education, the options are here if they are researched and embraced.

Finally, there are many schools not mentioned here offering a good or better level of education at post 16. This is inevitably a selective guide because we are identifying the very best schools. For some young people though, there will be Good schools that provide a better fit. Many alternative schools are reviewed elsewhere on our site, including many new schools that we could have included but which are still some way off from embedding their provision.

And that carries us to the final message which is that the future of education in Dubai is a bright and optimistic one for our young men and women. And that, ultimately, is the most positive lesson to be drawn from this snapshot of a post 16 school landscape that continues to evolve, inspire and impress in equal measure.
