Part 8:

The Best French Lycée Schools for the Baccalauréat Français / Bac 2017

The following school recommendations should be read in conjunction with our Guide to getting into top universities, here, and our 16 – 18 Education Guide, here.

Our top French Lycée Schools for Baccalauréat Français study in Dubai for 2017-18 are:

  • Lycée Francais International Georges Pompidou
  • Lycée Libanais Francophone Privé

Lycée Francais International Georges Pompidou

Our View: “KHDA Outstanding, with fees around half those of its competing equivalent Tier 1 English and IB peers, Lycée Francais International Georges Pompidou (LFIGP) is a school that is hard to find fault with. The school competes for offering the very best education anywhere in the Emirates. Delivery is outstanding in almost every area including Outstanding language development – with a majority of tri-lingual learners; Outstanding academic performance in all core subjects at all phases; Outstanding student personal and whole child development; Outstanding teaching at every phase; Outstanding school leadership; Outstanding communications and engagement with parents; and the lowest teacher turnover rate in the Emirates at just 2%.”

KHDA 2017 Rating: Outstanding

Lycée Libanais Francophone Privé

Our View: “The school sets itself apart from alternative French schools by aiming to nurture a school culture that “lives and breathes” the Lebanese cultural context and its national heritage, whilst preparing children for the demands of the French or Lebanese Baccalaureates, and entrance examinations for university study in either Lebanon or France. he Lycée Libanais Francophone Privé is at once creative and rooted, and the ways the school blends Lebanese, UAE, International and French culture and education sets standards for how specialist schools can build on their uniqueness to be more than the sum of their individual parts. For parents set on a multi-lingual education for their children, and especially Lebanese parents who want a school that will amplify the heart of Lebanese culture in their child(ren)’s education, this is a school that sets the bar very high. Recommended.”

KHDA 2017 Rating: Very good

The School of Research Science is, in my opinion, nothing like as good a school as you suggest. Its student population lacks manners and obedience. I would not recommend this school despite its outward appearance. It looks extravagant on the outside due all the money they spend on it; however that actual educational system and atmosphere is poor.
