Post 16 Education – Dubai’s Best Sixth Forms, High Schools

Part 6:

The Best Indian Higher Secondary Schools in Dubai for the CISCE Indian School Certificate 2017

The following school recommendations should be read in conjunction with our Guide to the CISCE Indian School Certificate, here, our Guide to the competing alternative CBSE All India Senior School Certificate Examination, here, our Guide to getting into top universities, here, and our 16 – 18 Education Guide, here.

Options for studying for the CISCE in Dubai are limited to just three schools – and, fortunately, the class leader here is an outstanding one – and the only KHDA rated outstanding Indian curriculum school in Dubai. Indian post-16 education presents really complex choices for parents. For many, however, the ISC remains by far the most academic, rewarding and international alternative to its CCBSE counterpart.

Our top Indian Higher Secondary School in Dubai for the CISCE School Certificate study in Dubai for 2020 is:

  • GEMS Modern Academy (Hybrid Indian ISC/IB Diploma School)

This is followed by:

  • Ambassador School, review here / Ambassador Kindergarten, review here.
  • JSS International School, review here.

Further recommendations in the Indian curriculum schools sector as a whole can be found here.

GEMS Modern Academy

Our View: “GEMS Dubai Modern Academy is an outstanding school – and now a pioneering one. The school took the extremely bold step of applying for, and achieving, International Baccalaureate status (teaching of the IB Diploma began in 2014), a high risk, trailblazing strategy for an outstanding school already punching above its weight in an Indian, hitherto ICSCE-only curriculum school. It is difficult to overstate the degree to which GEMS Modern meets, exceeds and deserves its definition of an Outstanding school within the Dubai educational system. Trailblazing, risk taking, successful for its children; a hugely impressive school across the board. GEMS Modern leadership, teaching staff, and students, should all be very proud. Extraordinary is not a word we use often but in this case it is apt.”

KHDA 2020 Rating: Outstanding

The School of Research Science is, in my opinion, nothing like as good a school as you suggest. Its student population lacks manners and obedience. I would not recommend this school despite its outward appearance. It looks extravagant on the outside due all the money they spend on it; however that actual educational system and atmosphere is poor.
