Top 13 New Schools opening in Dubai in 2018-19

by Lis ONealFebruary 13, 2018

With the ever-changing face of education in the UAE, SchoolsCompared.com continually aims to provide parents with the latest information about developments. Our list of the Top 13 New Schools opening in Dubai in 2018-19, not only tells you who the schools are and what curriculum and fees will be on offer, but also our assessment of their key strengths. This list will be updated as further schools are revealed or changes made.

There is no doubt that there has been a slow-down in school openings in Dubai over the last two years, but there is seemingly still demand from parents, based on convenience of location, budget, curriculum and other individual factors. The schools on our Top 13 New Schools opening in 2018-19 list cover a range of different price-points and curricula, including some new and innovative options.

Whilst the UK curriculum remains the most popular with six schools planned to open, new combinations offering the IB Diploma programme and BTEC options (find out more here), mean that students can choose a range of pathways for their pre-university studies. Add to that the opening of three purely IB curriculum schools, together with two US curriculum schools (one offering the IB Diploma option) and at last parents have the possibility of looking beyond the traditional UK curriculum schools that have tended to dominate curriculum options in Dubai.

And now, Indian curriculum schools are also starting to incorporate the IB Diploma programme, with a view to enabling students to look beyond the traditional university options at home. Indian families will be able to choose from a new purely CICSE school or its sister with an IB Diploma option.

The clearly-evident good news about our Top 13 New Schools opening in 2018-19 is that families in Dubai have ever more choice when it comes to their children’s education.
