No Vaccines in Schools! All Bookings Must Now Go Through DHA, MoH Apps – Ruling

by Jon WestleyMay 30, 2021

Sources close to the matter have told SchoolsCompared.com that schools have been instructed they can no longer offer the vaccine to 12-15 year olds, and that all students must go through DHA, MoH channels.

Speaking off record, a representative of one school group told SchoolsCompared.com that they had been contacted by the Dubai Health Authority directly with the instructions.

On social media, parents expressed disappointment, and some confusion, as to how to proceed, a point not lost on authorities who have responded with detailed instructions – see below.

This is a ruling that affects all Dubai schools.

A second school told SchoolsCompared.com it was a shame that students might now need to take time out of school to get the vaccine, when so much time had already been lost already.

They praised authorities, however, for the widespread access to the vaccine, and the efficiency of its delivery, across the emirates. The crowds that SchoolsCompared.com witnessed on the first day after the move to allow 12-15 year olds access to the vaccine seem to have dissipated, according to reports from parents whose children have already received the vaccination.
