Dubai’s education regulator, the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), has confirmed its attendance, while the UAE’s two dedicated web resources for parents looking for a school – WhichSchoolAdvisor.com and SchoolsCompared.com – will both have stands. WhichSchoolAdvisor.com, the KHDA and SchoolsCompared.com will have representatives on hand to answer parent’s questions live and in real time.

Established by Which Media, the publisher of SchoolsCompared.com and WhichSchoolAdvisor.com – the Which School Show has been conceived as a way to show that, despite the obstacles that 2020 has thrown at the sector, private, international focused education in the UAE has proven as, if not more, resilient and innovative than anywhere in the world.  The show is a celebration of the resilience and strength of education in the UAE.

“We wanted to celebrate the fact that despite the serious nature of the pandemic,  international schools in the UAE adapted, and innovated to a state where today very much the same quality of education is being delivered as that pre-pandemic. Schools have remained very much open for business by adapting not what they do, but how they do it, to be safe. In fact, we see innovations in UAE schools that will outlive these challenging times.” James Mullan, co-founder, Which Media.

“Schools needed to step up step up several gears in to continue to deliver on the very high expectations parents have across the emirates. No one could have expected them to do so at quite the level they have. The UAE has now clearly established itself as a world beater when it comes to innovation and delivery of international education. Covid-19 has demonstrated how robust and how much of a leader it truly is,” David Westley, co-founder, Which Media.

Showcasing the effectiveness of the country’s international schools include exhibitors Arcadia School, GEMS FirstPoint School, GEMS Wellington Al Khail, Universal American School, Ambassador International Academy and not for profit, Deira International School. The platinum exhibitors at the show are taking a leading role in the panel sessions. These panels will be moderated by SchoolsCompared.com and WhichSchoolAdvisor.com editors and will give parents an insight into how schools have innovated delivery. The panels will also address key areas of concern and interest for parents in the UAE.

The full line up of sessions will be announced shortly.

Joining the panel debates will be Dubai International Academy, Raffles International School, Aquila School, Foremarke School, Nord Anglia School, Dubai Heights Academy, Hartland International School, Brighton College Dubai, Dwight School, GEMS Wellington Primary School, and GEMS International School, who have also committed to the Which School Show as Gold partners.

As well as the panel sessions, parents visiting the Which School Show will also be able to visit the virtual stands of the Swiss International School, Kent College, Safa Community School, Safa British School, NIBRAS International School, Smart Vision School, Dove Green Primary School and the UAE’s only online school, iCademy.

For all schools, parents will be able to interact with each school one to one, ask questions, download brochures, and do their due diligence on which school is right for their child.

The online show will remain available to access, for registrants, for 14 days after it has finished to be able to download additional material that comes available.

“The UAE as a country has been a beacon and example in how to remain open for business during the pandemic,” says Jenny Mollon, senior editor at Which Media. “Governments around the world have recognised that this necessitates keeping schools open. We hope our show is a recognition of the can-do attitude of the sector in the UAE, and that despite the current unpredictability of the world around us, its schools are getting on with it, and continuing to deliver quietly on the business of education for our children. They don’t ask for it, but very much deserve plaudits for doing so.”

What participating schools are saying…

“Virtual events are vital for our community to allow families to safely access the same high quality of provision to meet their needs when they are looking at world class education in the marketplace. We are an inclusive school which is committed to delivering both a depth and breadth of learning through a deeply enriched curriculum. We therefore should appeal to all children and be able to cater for their needs through a broad programme of pathways for learning. We look forward to meeting you on 7th November.”
Giles Pruett, Executive Principal, Arcadia School

“A highly effective and powerful approach to teaching and learning is modelling. For that reason, we are particularly pleased as Universal American School is partnering with WhichSchoolAdvisor.com and SchoolsCompared.com for the virtual Which School Show on 7 November. As we educate our learners in these #NewDaysNewWays, we are offering to our families the choice of on-campus or distance learning and we are asking our teachers to deliver simultaneously in both a face-to-face and a virtual learning space.

“When leading a school under #TheNewNormal it therefore feels both appropriate and  exciting to pioneer this new venture of offering a school show. In many ways the virtual Which School Show will provide a forum for parents to better understand what learning actually looks like in schools today.”
Janecke Aarnaes, Director, Universal American School

GEMS First Point School is delighted to be involved in the ‘first of its kind’ Virtual Schools Show in the UAE.  This ground-breaking event provides parents with direct access to the schools and educational institutions that will help to shape their children’s future.

At this time of the year, parents would normally be touring our site during the day to experience the buzz of learning and warmth of relationships throughout our school.  This year is a bit different because of the global situation we find ourselves in.  The innovative approach taken by SchoolsCompared.com and WhichSchoolAdvisor.com is an excellent opportunity for parents to gain unique access and insight into the schools that interest them.  We are very much looking forward to welcoming you to our virtual stand.”
Spokesperson, GEMS FirstPoint School

“The last few months has been very challenging for schools and this exciting and innovative virtual exhibition is something we are very much looking forward to being part of. Taking the conference online ensure we will all be able to stay safe whilst also enabling parents to see a showcase of all that is wonderful at Deira International School.”
Spokesperson, Deira International School

“Right now The Which School Show is the safest option in giving parents an outlet to choose a school that is right for their child and family. We look forward to showcasing how we at Dubai Heights Academy have fully returned this year, our balance between technology and traditional learning, our student wellbeing focus, what’s in store for the future and how we are helping our parent community.”
Spokesperson, Dubai Heights Academy

“With the continued growth of online conferencing and its inevitable part within our lives for the foreseeable future, virtual events provide opportunities for high quality dialogue which otherwise would be a significant challenge.”
David Hicks, Principal, Dubai International Academy Al Barsha

The Which School Show online provides Raffles International School with a means by which we can reach parents across Dubai and internationally in a way that was previously underemployed. We are delighted to be part of this innovative solution to parent needs and see this as an enhancement of our service to perspective parents rather than a temporary replacement for traditional tours and admissions procedures.”
Tim Richardson, Principal, Raffles International School
