Following announcement of its Outstanding rating by the KHDA, the government of Dubai School regulator, Deira International School Dubai results has announced this year’s outstanding results for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme in 2023. Against the backdrop of hugely inclusive schooling, the results are impressive and represent a return to the levels of achievement the school is recognised for prior to the Covid years.
A delighted Simon O’Connor, Director, Deira International School and Chief Education Officer, Al-Futtaim School Management Company, told SchoolsCompared:
‘I’m delighted to pass on my congratulations to all of our graduating IB cohort for this year.
Our Diploma Programme and Career Programme students have produced excellent results which are testament both to their commitment and hard work, as well as the continual support which they have received from both the teachers and their parents over their years at school.
I would like to thank the Deira International School staff who have worked tirelessly to support all students – and the fruits of these efforts are seen today.
Our Deira International School students will now progress to many of the highest ranked universities around the world. Here I know they will continue to thrive – and change the world.
We wish them the very best of luck – and cannot wait to hear of their future successes.”
Douglas Pettitt, Head of Secondary, Deira International School, continued:
“We are just so delighted with another impressive set of IB results at Deira International School.
Our exceptional students have done themselves, their families and our school proud.
Well done!”
A thrilled Helen Wallis, Head of the International Baccalaureate at Deira International School, concluded:
“What a fantastic set of results for our students!
I am so pleased that the hard work and dedication of our students has paid off.
Our teachers too have been no less than magnificent.
We wish them our graduating students, and Class of ’23, all our very best wishes as they begin their next steps at university.”
Remarkable Deira International School students
Prady Saligram will be attending Stanford University as one of only six students from the UAE who gained admission for Fall 2023. While studying at DIS, Mr Saligram founded student societies, lead as Head of Culture and Diversity, defended the goal on the football pitch, and building an NFT marketplace alongside his studies in machine and deep learning. The school told us: “As Prady looks toward California for this Fall, he leaves behind a legacy of leadership and will surely represent DIS well in Palo Alto, while preparing for a future career in Computer Science with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence.”
Mr Saligram told SchoolsCompared:
“Over the last 12 years, DIS has been the backbone of my educational growth, providing me with numerous opportunities to explore my interests and challenge myself academically. The supportive staff at DIS has undoubtedly played a crucial role in molding me into the person I am today, with their commitment to fostering excellence in education opening doors for me, and many other students like me, enabling us to pursue our dreams and reach our full potential. I am proud to be a product of DIS and the Al Futtaim Education Foundation, and I look forward to representing their values at both Stanford and beyond.”
