IB Results 2023: “Good luck!” Tension mounts as UAE school students await exam results today

by Tabitha BardaJuly 6, 2023

It’s IB exam results day 2023 and the excitement and tension are mounting for students awaiting their all-important grades this afternoon – especially since the news broke that the 2023 pass rate has plummeted and marking seems to have been tougher this year compared to recent years.

The grades are particularly crucial for those who have applied to universities in countries such as the UK, where conditional offers could be confirmed or rescinded on the basis of the results today.

Although schools have already received the overall grades, results will be officially released to individual candidates from 3pm today UAE time. Here’s a step-by-step guide on everything you need in order to be able to view your results online this afternoon.

The excitement is palpable, Poonam Bhojani, CEO of Innoventures Education, which runs four popular IB schools in Dubai – Collegiate International School (CIS)Dubai International Academy (DIA) Al BarshaDubai International Academy (DIA) Emirates Hills and Raffles World Academy  – told SchoolsCompared, while adding a note of warning that results are only one part of a much bigger whole. Ms Bhojani said:

“The excitement and nervousness are palpable on results day.

“While we take pride in our outstanding academic results, I must add exam results are not the only factor motivating our students.

“With the right opportunities, support and guidance, students can still be successful irrespective of exam scores.”
