Brighton College Al Ain celebrates as 65% of Students Soar for the Skies with A*A GCSE Grades in Toughest Exam Year since 2019

Brighton College Al Ain, the consistently ADEK Outstanding British Curriculum powerhouse of British Education in the emirate, has today announced that almost five in ten students taking GCSE examination this year  achieved Grades 9 and 8 – an A* in the older alphabetical grading structure. The news follows equally outstanding results announced by the school on A Level Results day 2023.

Stand-out achievements by Brighton College Al Ain students include:

  • 1 in every 4 GCSE exams taken this year by Brighton College Al Ain pupils resulted in a top Grade 9
  • Almost 65% of GCSE examinations saw students at the school awarded 7 – 9 grades – A*A in the older alphabetical grading structure

After celebrating our pupils’ outstanding A Level achievements, I am thrilled to report that Brighton College Al Ain pupils have once again been awarded an impressive percentage of top grades in their GCSE examinations, with 9–8 grades surpassing both last year and even 2019, when traditional in-person exams were last held.

“This accomplishment is truly remarkable, and I couldn’t be happier for our pupils.

“I am exceptionally proud of what our pupils and teachers have achieved and would like to both congratulate and thank them for the hard work, determination and resilience they have demonstrated while collaboratively striving for these outstanding results.”

Outstanding Results Across-the-board

Brighton College Al Ain pupils results in the Sciences were particularly stellar:

  • 74% of pupils in the Sciences achieved the top grade (7-9)

Across-the-board results were exceptional:

  • 1 in every 2 pupils in English achieved Grades 8 or 9
  • 3 in every 4 pupils achieving top grades (8 -9) across the Humanities
  • 82% of all Arabic GCSEs were awarded at Grade 9

Set in a modern, 28-acre campus on the outskirts of Al Ain, Brighton College Al Ain offers a British curriculum education to pupils aged 3 to 18 years.
