Blenheim Schools, part of the UK’s leading Chatsworth Schools family, and Education Ventures Company (EVC) a wholly owned subsidiary of Al Zarooni Emirates Investments (ZEI), have confirmed a new education focused partnership to launch Citizens School Dubai – a new British curriculum school to open in September 2022. The school is located on a landmark 7.6 acre hub site in the heart of Dubai, opposite Meraas’s City Walk Development and Al Khazzan Park.

The school will be resolutely non-selective and inclusive – and sets itself a part by defining itself as part of a landmark new “Citizens Hub”, this also including a dedicated child wellbeing support centre, integral Teacher Training and Research Centre and facilities open to, and for, the wider community.

Citizens Schools Dubai will incorporate these four elements for families and students:

  • The Citizens Nursery School and Early Learning Centre
  • Citizens School
  • The Citizens School Centre of Excellence for Child Support
  • The Citizens Research and Teacher Training Academy.

The  British all-through school aims to differentiate itself with a rich and overlaid blueprint through which it will deliver the English National Curriculum:

“Using the UK National Curriculum as its standard, the Citizens’ Tapestry is a first-of-its-kind, custom-built curriculum that builds upon the blueprint with six key threads – Mindset; Entrepreneur; Health & Wellbeing; Sustainable Leadership; Global; and Digital Literacy – forming the pattern of its comprehensive, holistic, inclusive, and fun education system. The curriculum has been co-developed and influenced by some of the world’s leading researchers on education, motivation and mindsets, as well as cognitive scientists including Dr Carol Dweck, Matthew Syed and John Hattie, Guy Claxton, and Graham Powell.”

The launch of the new school follows a growth in the interest of major British school groups in the UAE, the most recent example being Cognita’s Royal Grammar School Guildford in Dubai.
