Exciting News for Dubai: Eid Al Adha Holiday Confirmed by KHDA, June 15th to 18th!
Dubai is gearing up for a festive break as the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has officially announced a holiday for Eid Al Adha. All private schools, universities, and nurseries in Dubai will be closed from Saturday, June 15, to Tuesday, June 18.
A Festive Four-Day Break for Eid Al Adha
Including the weekend, this closure provides families and educators with a welcome holiday. The break will allow Dubai’s families to enjoy quality time together and enjoy the Eid celebrations. Schools are set to reopen their doors on Wednesday, June 19.

Schools Align with National Eid Al Adha Announcement
The KHDA’s confirmation follows closely behind the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation’s announcement made on June 8. The Ministry had declared a public holiday for the private sector across the UAE, marking the same dates – from Saturday, June 15, to Tuesday, June 18.
After the break, schools in Dubai will resume on Wednesday, June 19.
After Eid, When Will the School Term End for Summer?
Parents should note that we are rapidly approaching the end of the summer school term in Dubai. The 2023/24 academic year officially wraps up on July 4. Schools will return for the 2024/25 academic year on August 26, 2024.
