Terrific school – vibrant, warm, academic, values-rich and heavily focused on the whole-child, Brighton Collage aligns itself very closely with the ideals of a British education, and delivers.
Many parents feeding back to us believe it is the best British school in Abu Dhabi. This sort of loyalty from parents is highly telling of the close partnership it forges with its key stakeholders, seen intrinsic to its enhanced UK curriculum.
The College is selective – but it is not a hothouse school. We like the decision, in the round, to remove AS Level study entirely following the reform of A Levels on the basis that it removes the pressures of examinations early on and better allows students to immerse themselves in the depth of the new, purely linear A Level over two years. Its selective intake lends justification to the decision, but it is still our view that the lack of BTEC options in British schools is to be lamented.
Breadth of A Level options compensate, particularly in the Social Sciences which only miss Sociology in a framework that includes both Psychology and Government and Politics.
Expressive arts across Drama and Music are stand-out and a very strong feature of this fabulous school.
