Umm Al-Quwain Schools Close – School and Nursery Closures Increase Across UAE As Covid Cases Rise

Breaking: Umm Al-Quwain Schools Close with immediate effect.

The UAE Ministry of Education (MOE) has announced that all Umm Al-Quwain schools and nurseries must close with immediate effect.

Students will transfer to 100% Distance Learning.

The decision has been made by The Ministry of Education and the local Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Team in the Emirate of Umm Al-Quwain.

The school and nursery closure decision will last until further notice and there is no fixed date for students to return.

The measures come as part of the initiatives to stem the spread of COVID-19.

The move follows the latest school closure decision in Ajman, more here.

Social media responses from parents to the announcement have again been broadly positive with a significant majority of parents praising the swift action of UAE authorities to place health before economic issues and the concentration on ensuring a very high standard of Distance Learning provision from schools.
