St Mary High School Leadership
Jaime Roth, Principal, St Mary High School, told SchoolsCompared.com:
“While celebrating our overall results and outstanding ‘Toppers’, we are particularly proud of the very large number of our students who achieved significantly above their CAT4 projected and CAT4 target IGCSE ‘grades’.
“This is down to our students’ work-ethic, determination, commitment, and ‘grit’ – and the outstanding teaching they have received.
“Comparing predicted and target grades against actual achievement is a clear measure of added value and tells you so much that is important about a school that exam league tables cannot.
“At SMHSM, a school at a very accessible fee level, this high level of value-add results from the powerful combination of excellent teaching with the inspiring self-belief and self-efficacy of our students.
Our third cohort of IGCSE students have not only been extremely successful, but epitomise the vision and ethos of the school. Our new mission, vision and values, form our compass as we consolidate our strong reputation and move forward in opening our Sixth Form with both gold standard A level and BTEC qualifications.
It is a testament to the school and its teachers that almost all of our IGCSE graduates are remaining with us as the first cohort to study for A levels and BTEC qualifications; a clear parent affirmation of the school’s success.”
A delighted Mari Ella Villocillo, Head of Secondary, SMM, continued:
“Our 2024 IGCSE cohort achieved so much in the classroom over the last two years. Their IGCSE examination results in many ways because of this came as no surprise.
Importantly, their ethos has been a strong force within the school across academics, Sports, Music, student leadership and sustainability initiatives. In all these areas they have combined hard work with a positive mindset.
Our IGCSE students this year are not only academically successful but well-rounded individuals who have the strongest potential for ongoing success. The future is bright – and doors will open to exciting opportunities for each of them.
My special thanks and gratitude to all our IGCSE teachers and school leaders. Their passion and commitment in preparing and supporting our students throughout their IGCSE journey has been such an inspiration – and an absolute credit to each of them, their students and our school.”
The Outstanding St Mary High School Muhaisnah GCSE Class of 2024
St Mary High School asked us to recognise the achievements of every single student in the GCSE Class of 2024; they have all represented themselves so well and made their school very proud.
However, the following students are particularly recognised for their achievements this year:
Sy Mary’s highest achieving SMM graduating 2024 IGCSE student Ren Chloe Martin, secured a remarkable seven Level 9 IGCSE awards. Sharing her thoughts, she told SchoolsCompared.com:
“In their care, SMM and its staff, my teachers have worked so hard to support me, encourage me, and set a standard that I not only want to reach but to raise.
“It is the school’s and my family’s unconditional belief that allowed me to achieve results that anyone can be proud of.
“Knowing the effort that I and my fellow batch mates have exerted; I’m reminded of the unavoidable dread and exhaustion that comes with taking these board exams.
“However, it’s also because of that can I lift my head high and say that I’ve always believed in mine and my peers’ collective success.”
SMM graduating 2024 IGCSE student Xamuel, told SchoolsCompared.com:
“My three years as an IGCSE student has been filled with ups and downs from the beginning.
“Despite this, my teachers and fellow classmates have always been there for me to support me throughout my education.
“All of this everlasting support has amounted to a great result that I am proud of.
“Additionally, I extend my utmost gratitude to my parents as they are the ones who have enabled me to be where I am today.
If it wasn’t for my parents… I would not have reached my full potential.”
SMM graduating 2024 IGCSE student Shloka, continued:
“I am extremely thankful for being in SMM.
“It’s a great place to study as the support from the teachers and staff is always there.
“Being in SMM, I’ve never felt that I don’t have anyone to support me or help me due. The opposite is true. I have been so supported by my teachers and school – and, as a result, I haven’t been very stressed during my IGCSE’s.
“This school is a great place to learn and grow – and in so many respects…”
SMM graduating 2024 IGCSE student Senuri captured the feelings of the IGCSE Class of 2024:
“It’s been an emotional rollercoaster over the past 3 years.
“From happiness to moments of sadness and anxiety, what matters is that in the end… we made it out as a team.
“On behalf of my batch, we would like to congratulate and thank the IGCSE teachers, Miss Ella, and Sir Jaime.
“Without your support through our toughest times, and without your dedication to doing all you can so that we can each have a vivid and bright future, we wouldn’t be celebrating to happily the grades we achieved on GCSE Results Day.
“Thank you very… very much!”
