There is yet another new affordable Dubai school option this new academic year, with the announcement that Dhruv Global School, an India-based CBSE-affiliated school, has made its foray into the UAE with the opening of its first international branch in Al Barsha South, Dubai.
The new affordable Dubai school is currently serving the primary years only, offering the UK-curriculum based EYFS in the Pre-primary stage, and the India-based CBSE curriculum for Grades 1 to 6.
The new opening will be good news for parents searching for a more affordable Dubai school as Dhruv Global is currently offering a discounted fee rate to founding families, with Pre-primary costing Dh13,000 for the year (discounted from the KHDA-approved rate of Dh18,000) and Dh15,000 for grades 1 to 6 (discounted from the KHDA-approved fee of Dh19,200).
This new school is the latest in a list of at least 21 new schools opening in the UAE this year and beyond – see here for the full list of new Dubai schools opening.

A Dubai school committed to ‘Yogic values’

Dhruv Global School stands out for its announced focus on ‘Yogic values’, and the school says that its ethos blends technology, ‘timeless wisdom’, and ‘global thinking’ for students, teaching them the ’emotional acumen’ to become future leaders who ‘lead with compassion and integrity in an ever-evolving world’:
“Students are taken on a journey that extends beyond textbooks and goes into deeper explorations of themselves and the world around them. This innovative approach nurtures the intellect and the whole person – emotionally, spiritually, and physically.”
The school boasts that its facility in Al Barsha South has technology-integrated classrooms that incorporates tech as a fundamental learning tool across all subjects, from collaborative platforms to digital resources and learning apps. At the same time, the school says its goal is to bring its unique curriculum “incorporates the Theory of Multiple Intelligences – individualized learning methodologies so every student can benefit fully – and a unique blend of traditional Yogic values and digital-age readiness.”
Yash Malpani, Director and Trustee, comments:
“The launch in UAE marks an important chapter for us at Dhruv Global School. Dubai’s education sector is booming. With its growing population and focus on quality education, it is the right time for us to expand internationally. We are grateful to the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), the regulatory body for education in Dubai for securing appropriate premises of safety and infrastructure requirements”.
