Is your child ready to start school? Every UAE parent of young children must make the daunting decision to sign their child up to a school at some point – but when is the right time for your child to start? How can you tell if your child is ready? And what can you do to prepare them?

Community group Parents United UAE and the team of mums and editors at SchoolsCompared and WhichSchoolAdvisor have joined together with children’s museum Woo-Hoo! to offer a fun and informative coffee morning TOMORROW 1 June (9.30am-11.30am), where we will be helping you to answer exactly these questions.

With Summer now officially upon us, there are just a few months left for parents to prepare their children for the next step into big school or nursery for the first time – whether that means potty training, nurturing independence, or emotionally preparing your child for their next chapter.

We will be joined by education experts from UAE schools and nurseries to answer all your questions and help guide you through the process of making this vital decision in a fun, supportive and informal environment. Here is all you need to know…

What is it?

Based on the theme “Ready, Set School! Tips for Summer”, mums or dads of pre-schoolers will have the chance to mingle together, enjoy some light refreshments and enjoy talks on School Readiness, ‘When should your child start school?’, potty training, sleep advice and travel tips from our key partners, while their little ones are cared for by childcare providers CloudNine.
