Brighton College Dubai Pupils Celebrate Exceptional GCSE Results  


Grade 9’s “everywhere” – as Highest possible grade is the most common grade achieved by Brighton College Dubai students in 2024

Highest number of Grade 9s in three years


Brighton College Dubai has announced the “exceptional performance of its pupils in the 2024 GCSE exams.”

For the fourth consecutive year, the school has seen outstanding results, with Grade 9 being the most awarded grade.

Notably, 22% of the College’s grades were at this highest Grade 9 level – the highest number of Grade 9s the school has seen in three years.

40% of all examinations were awarded the top GCSE Grades of 9-8.

Sophie Ritchie – future-medic and black-belt martial artist. Miss Sophie Ritchie stands out with her impressive achievement of seven Grade 9s and one Grade 8.

Rayaan Haji, recently back from his outstanding volunteer work at an orphanage in Tanzania, achieved a highly commendable six Grade 9s and two Grade 8s.

Both Miss Ritchie and Master Haji make an exceptional contribution to school life at BCD and make a/the difference in the world.

Brighton College Dubai asked us to celebrate and recognise every student of the GCSE Class of 2024, but the following four students are singled out for their very high level of achievement across subjects:

  • Sophie Ritchie achieved seven Grade 9s, one Grade 8 and one Grade 7
  • Rayaan Haji achieved six Grade 9s, two Grade 8s and one Grade 7
  • Andreas Chouery achieved four Grade 9s, three Grade 8s, one Grade 7 and  two Grade 6s
  • Natasha Owiti  achieved four Grade 9s, three Grade 8s, one Grade 7 and one Grade 6
