Following on from stellar A Level results, showcasing the exceptional achievement of students in STEM subjects, Pristine Private school is celebrating the amazing achievement of its GCSE students. This year’s GCSE Results Day falls on the 30th anniversary of one of Dubai’s oldest and most loved British curriculum schools.
Pristine Private School was awarded the Climate School of Excellence, is a member to the Global Schools Program (UN SDSN) and Principal Shagufa Kidwai powerfully supports the role of international school leaders in driving the sustainability agenda forward in schools.
This year a cohort of 79 students at Pristine Private School entered for the IGCSE qualification. A creditable 38% of students achieved the highest possible A* grade, 60% of Pristine students A* A, 81% A* B – and 95% of students achieved A* C.
The overall pass rate across the GCSE cohort was 100%.
Shagufa Kidwai, Principal of Pristine Private School told SchoolsCompared.com:
“Pristine Private School, founded in 1992, stands on the cusp of celebrating 30 glorious years.
Since its humble beginnings it has reached thousands of students and provided them with the opportunities and skills to excel in their lives upon graduating our school.
We are a family-run school, one deeply embedded in our community – and the ethical underpinning of the school is centre stage of all that we seek to achieve for our students. A cornerstone of our education is the value framework that we adopt in the school to scaffold the education of each and every student. 30 years on, Pristine remains committed to our school leaders, teachers and students contributing to the larger community. All our students understand, and are passionate about, being the change-makers of tomorrow. Students at Pristine are nurtured to have a climate-positive mindset – and encouraged to be ambitious in using their skills and knowledge to be problem-solvers across every aspect of our lives.
On this note, I am delighted that we have maintained our tradition of outstanding results at IGCSE.
The performance of our students in almost all subjects has been commendable, and this has so much added impact given that our students appeared for their board examinations only after surviving the two years of rapidly changing modes of learning caused by the covid-19 pandemic.
However, with the school’s consistent support and care provided for their wellbeing and learning, our students have exhibited tremendous achievement in producing excellent results!
On this, the thirtieth anniversary of our school, I send each of them my warmest congratulations.”
Tasneem Usman, Head of Senior School and Head of Teaching and Learning, Pristine Private School continued:
“It was such proud moment for my team of teachers to celebrate the success of our students in this year’s IGCSE examinations, this as we celebrate the thirtieth year anniversary of our family-run school since its founding in 1992
With exceptional percentages attained by our students in most subjects, Pristine has proven that, however unusual or unprecedented the circumstances, our effective teaching and learning practices – and our absolute care for the welfare of all our students, has reaped dividends.
A huge “well done!” to each and every student on their GCSE achievements in this extraordinary year.”

“It has certainly been a whirlwind of a year, facing the many challenges of studying for our IGCSE’s.
Difficult days have been spent preparing ourselves for these critical examinations, always with the support of our wonderful teachers and the commitment of our dearest principal, Ms Shagufa Kidwai. Thank you too, to all Pristine’s Senior School leaders.
A big thank you to my family. They have all been so supportive – but special thanks to my parents who have been by my side through all the late nights and stressful days.
It has certainly been a strenuous journey, but all the hard work and effort paid off eventually!
I have really enjoyed these past two years in Pristine and am now really looking forward to my A levels…”

“Nothing but pure bliss after seeing my results!
Covid has really made life difficult – and today I am so proud of what I have achieved.
None of it would have been possible without the support and guidance of parents, teachers and my school – and for that I am so grateful.
I love my school! And the education system in the UAE should be celebrated to the rooftops for what it is – AMAZING!”
