Foremarke School Reduces Fees, Becomes Repton Al Barsha

by David WestleyNovember 1, 2020

Foremarke School is to become third Repton school in the UAE, in a rebranding ‘transition’ that will create Repton Al Barsha . The other UAE schools in the ‘Repton Family’ are Repton Dubai and Repton Abu Dhabi.

The school will begin physical upgrades to its campus in 2021, with full re-branding set to be completed by the start of the next academic year. There will be organic year-on-year growth to provide the IGCSE curriculum up until Year 11 and A-levels for years 12 and 13. The “lengthy transition” has been planned to ensure “both parents and students are acclimated with comfort and ease” according to a school spokesperson. Upgrades to the Al Barsha campus will be fully implemented by the start of the 2021-22 academic year.

The news comes soon after the school announced its expansion into Senior School years. Originally planned as a classic British ‘prep’ school, Repton Al Barsha, as Foremarke School will now be known, is now open to Year 8 and will open Year 9 in the 2021-22 academic year. Eventually, the school will grow to offer the iGCSE curriculum to Year 11 and A-Levels for Years 12-13. We are told that the school believe that all current Repton Al Barsha students are ‘positioned on the same academic trajectory’ as others within the Repton Family of Schools.

“We are overwhelmingly excited to welcome parents and students on this new journey of Repton Al Barsha, and promise to continue providing the same level of outstanding education that safeguard students’ successful path to a fulfilling professional and personal career”. Zoe Woolley.

Parents keen to learn more about the changes at Repton Al Barsha, can meet with the team, live, online at The Which School Show, on 7th November. Register here, free, for your place at the show.

David Cook, Chief Education Officer of the Repton Family of Schools and Headmaster of Repton School Dubai, said it was “a proud moment for us to officially welcome another Repton-branded school in the UAE”.

“We want to show gratitude towards our parents and students for their continued support in this endeavour and want them to rest assured that Repton Al Barsha will continue to provide the same level of exceptional education to which they are accustomed.”

I addition the school is lowering its fees, effective from September 2021. The reduction is on current fees for the 2020 academic year.

From the start of the next academic year, parents of Repton Al Barsha students in Foundation Stage 1 through to Year 6 will pay fees up to 16% lower.

In the Senior School, existing parents will see their fees reduced by 15% and any new parents will benefit from a fee structure 10% lower than the existing fees. Both Years 7 and 8 are currently priced at 83,000 AED per academic year.

The opening of Repton Al Barsha Senior School is another relatively recent change, with the original iteration of Foremarke School having been planned to operate as a traditional British style ‘prep’ school through to Year 8.

The school will now grow, year on year, through to Year 13.
