Background: Complete KHDA Information for Parents, Students and Children Back to School 2020

In the following we provide the two key pieces of information issued by the KHDA for Back to School 2020 to help parents, students, children and schools.

The first is a Guide written specifically for parents to share with Children to help explain what will happen when children return to school in a simple, kind, comforting and sensitive way. The Guide also refers to those parents who have chosen the Distance Learning option provided by schools.

The second is a document listing the rules in place currently. We will add further developments here as we receive them, the first two of which can be found below.

Note: we will add changes to Back to School 2020 guidance, rules and developments as we received them.

Currently there are two new supplementary developments as of 25 August 2020:

(1) All staff in Dubai schools must have been recently tested for Covid-19 before schools can open. This may delay some school openings while testing of all adult members of the school community are tested.

(2) Travel Declaration forms are being issued by the KHDA and must be completed for all children and students. The KHDA is seeking to identify all children and students who have returned from overseas during the course of the Summer holidays in the period of 14 days before terms starts after which a decision will be made on action for those children. No child or student can return to school before completion of this form. The form can be found here.

(3) Children and students, unles they are showing sy,ptoms of Covid-19, are not required to be tested before returning to school.

Complete Protocols to be read in conjunction with amendments and updates (above) follow:
