School Principal of the Year – The Shortlist 2019

School Principal of the Year in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the UAE 2019

The following Principals, Heads and school leaders have all achieved short-listing for the 2019 SchoolsCompared.com Award for School Principal of the Year.

School Principals play a pivotal role in the success of a school for children. They shape the evolution of a school and the relationships between parents, governance, teachers and the wider community that underpin a flourishing school.

Each of the School Principals nominated here have achieved the extraordinary for their schools, often against the odds. They have each shown themselves willing to stand up for the needs of children and the families that rely on them against commercial pressures and easy solutions. They have inspired teaching faculty, owners, children and parents alike. They have steered schools on journeys that place the needs of the child centre stage in school life.

In the course of our journalism, and our visits to schools, each has inspired us and we have not left their schools without having a belief in them and their vocation to achieve for their schools and the children, teachers, owners and families that depend on them.

Together they powerfully and sensitively guide the evolution of education in the UAE.

Each of them endeavours to provide added value to each child’s journey to ensure that every student leaves school meeting or exceeding baseline academic and whole child expectations.

All of the Principals shortlisted endeavour to deliver a benchmark for the best education for children available in the UAE within their schools.

The finalists and winner of the UAE Principal of the Year will be announced on 7 March 2019 at a glittering awards ceremony kindly hosted in association with Dubai Parks and Resorts, on a night that will bring together schools, their teachers and fellow leaders, to celebrate and recognise all that they collectively achieve for our children each year.
