Best School for Sport – The Shortlist 2019

Best School for Sport Dubai Al Ain Sharjah Abu Dhabi Awards 2019

The following schools have all achieved short-listing for the 2019 SchoolsCompared.com Best School for Sport Award for their across-the-board commitment to, and passion for, Sport – and delivering outstanding sporting outcomes for children.

All the schools listed, in different ways, provide outstanding breadth of sporting options, at different levels, for all students to ensure that every child can meet his or her individual ambitions, potential, and ability. All the schools here ensure that no distinction is made between the exceptional value placed on sport for both boys and girls.

Each of them endeavours to provide added value to each child’s journey to ensure that every student leaves school meeting or exceeding baseline sporting ability. Each of them ensures that all children, even those less comfortable with Sport, learn to find an appreciation of some aspect of sport for their development as young men and women. Each of them, for their exceptional athletes, work above and beyond to support and excel in the fixture programmes and competitions across all sports that build capacity and skills in all schools. In some cases, investment in specialist coaches and international professional links, ensure that the most gifted athletes can continue to aspire to careers in sport on graduating.

When we have looked at schools, we have weighted those that plough back investment into facilities, teacher salaries, resources and school improvements year-on-year to improve education for children.

All of the schools shortlisted endeavour to deliver a benchmark for the best sport education for children available in the UAE.

Finally, we have looked across all areas of provision, investment, innovation and achievement that support each school being shortlisted.

The finalists and winner of the Best School for Sport in the UAE will be announced on 7 March 2019 at a glittering awards ceremony kindly hosted in association with Dubai Parks and Resorts, on a night that will bring together schools, their teachers and leadership, to celebrate and recognise all that they achieve for our children each year.
