Best School for Post-16 Education – The Shortlist 2019

The following schools have all achieved short-listing for the 2019 SchoolsCompared.com Best School Award for Post-16 Education in the UAE. Academic and whole child education of children at these schools we rate in many cases as competitively benchmarked against the very best schools worldwide.

All the schools listed, in different ways, provide outstanding breadth of academic, technical and ECA options for students to ensure that every child can meet his or her individual ambitions, potential, and ability.

Each of them endeavours to provide added value to each child’s journey to ensure that every student leaves school meeting or exceeding baseline academic and whole child expectations.

In at least one case, we have seen schools creating an entire two-year course structure, including new teaching faculty, for a single child to ensure that he could graduate school with the specific skills and qualifications he required to meet his ambitions. In other schools we have seen pioneering development of a breadth of expensive technical stream BTEC courses to ensure every students’ needs and potential are met. Other schools have shone for academic students with results that better those of the best public schools worldwide.

When we have looked at schools, we have weighted those that plough back investment into facilities, teacher salaries, resources and school improvements year-on-year to improve education for children.

All of the schools shortlisted endeavour to deliver a benchmark for the best post-16 education for children available in the UAE in their breadth of curriculum offer, pre-university and industry preparation and absolute commitment that no child will ever be left behind.

Finally, we have looked across all areas of provision, investment, innovation and achievement that support each school being shortlisted.

The finalists and winner of the Best School for Post-16 Education in the UAE will be announced on 7 March 2019 at a glittering awards ceremony kindly hosted in association with Dubai Parks and Resorts, on a night that will bring together schools, their teachers and leadership, to celebrate and recognise all that they achieve for our children each year.
