5th. Nord Anglia International School Dubai

Photograph showing Drama students studying at Nord Anglia International School Dubai - awarded one of the top 20 Best Schools in Dubai and Abu Dhabi by schoolscompared.com in 2017

Type of school: For-profit

Curriculum: British EYFS/IGCSE/GCSE/International Baccalaureate Diploma

Age of children: All through

School size: 1365

Location: Al Barsha

Top-tier, highly targeted school for the academically gifted polymath offering an all-through British IGCSE-International Baccalaureate Diploma education.

Stand-out features include its Juilliard Performing Arts programme and outstanding focus on soft skills so critical to whole child development. For us, however, it is the school’s ability to craft such an exceptionally warm, nurturing and happy environment for its students that really places Nord Anglia International School in the top tier of schools – something not easy in a school that could so easily fall the “wrong” way into a competitive hothouse with all the resulting stresses that an come so easily come with this. Instead its selection criteria are tightly and sensitively focused to ensure a perfect match of school to child.

Results at Nord Anglia schools are as you would expect top tier – and measured on a global scale. Bar our wish list that that the school would offer the International Bacccalaureate Career-related Programme (which as well as offering a technical stream element does not prejudice highly academic but non linguistically accomplished children) it’s hard to think of what could better a school so closely mapped to its target child. For the right child, it does not come better than this. It may be a young school, but Nord Anglia International School Dubai deserves its place in the top 5 schools in Dubai and Abu Dubai 2017.

Nord Anglia International School Examination results

2017

IGCSE

71% A*A

98% A*C

Parents should note that these (we believe very impressive) results reflect the first cohort of IGCSE students at the school following its founding in 2014
