As close as it gets to no staff turnover, one of the best value fees of any top tier school in the UAE, an extraordinarily rich education, world class teaching – this is a school that should give pause for thought to many non-French families looking for a top-tier education at around half the fees of their UK and IB counterparts.
Of course, the qualifications are different – but the Brevet and Bac are just as valued at top tier universities anywhere in the world – and just as rigorous. Outside the almost exclusively French community it predominantly serves, it is one of the best kept secret in the UAE education sector. Almost impossible to find fault with we would probably, at a stretch given the fees, argue that the school would benefit from a radical approach to scholarships encouraging applications from outside the French community to diversify and enrich its role – and strengthen its integration and appreciation of the richness of Arabic context within its curriculum. Because of its structure, to some degree its hands in this context are tied – but the opportunities for children in later life that have been truly academically and socially immersed in the meeting of cultures we think is an opportunity and strength to be nurtured.
