Stellar school performing across the board. It’s hard to know where to begin with JESS. If we have to pick three things that make JESS absolutely stand-out, and our deserving Best School in Dubai and Abu Dhabi for 2017 it is, first, the value added it provides for all children in its inclusive open role.
This is not a school that picks and chooses only the most academic children. Yet it achieves results that puts many selective schools to shame.
Second, the school is launching an impressive, serious, properly financed BTEC offer to ensure it offers the broadest choice of options for children, academic and technical, at Sixth Form.
Finally, school leadership and vision does not get any better. This is seen across every part of the school as individual leaders across disciplines are empowered to be creative and do whatever it takes to ensure each child at the school meets their ambitions, potential and ability. The recent initiative with virtual reality, highlighted in our main review, is but one example of the many ways the culture of empowerment innovates for children.
To top it all, this is a happy school with fees that represent real value given its performance and when compared to its peer for-profit schools. Jumeirah English Speaking School (JESS) Arabian Ranches is inspirational, visionary, innovative, compassionate and a school with its heart in absolutely the right place. The richness, depth and interwoven values underpinning education here are at times breathtaking. It is also worth highlighting the role of its outstanding Primary feeder, JESS Jumeirah, reviewed here, which for many parents, in our view justifiably, is seen as integral to the JESS journey.
JESS Arabian Ranches is our first place winner of the SchoolsCompared.com Best Schools in Dubai and Abu Dhabi 2017 award. Quite outstanding and very highly recommended, teachers and students deserve to feel very proud of what they have achieved.
